Liquidnet has appointed Alex Grinfeld as co-head of its Americas futures division. Brian Cashin, who joined Liquidnet in March 2022, will serve as the second co-head.
Grinfeld has more than 20 years of industry experience, close to 11 of which have been spent with Morgan Stanley. Most recently, he was executive director of futures and derivatives sales trading at the firm.
Earlier in his career Grinfeld held the same title at Goldman Sachs, before which he was in the CME S&P 500 Futures trading pit at International Futures & Options Associates.
Mike du Plessis, global head of listed derivatives at Liquidnet, said: “Alex joins us at an exciting time in our journey, his extensive experience will be integral as we launch new technology and further develop our execution services.”
