Citi has named Kaustubh Kulkarni as co-head of APAC investment banking, effective December.
Based in Singapore, he will work alongside Jan Metzger and report to Citi head of banking Vis Raghavan.
Since Metzger assumed the role in November 2023, Raghavan said, “[He] has driven an increase in client coverage intensity which has been instrumental in contributing to Citi’s strong performance. The addition of yet another seasoned leader in Kulkarni will further accelerate this progress.”
Citi was ranked 10th in APAC investment banking by Dealogic, with a reported US$139 million in revenues and a 2.7% market share. This marked a decline from results the year before, where Citi was ranked seventh.
Citi has made a slew of APAC appointments over recent months, including Jignesh Patel as APAC head of prime finance and Vikram Chavali as head of global asset managers for the region.
