Hillier begins new role at Jupiter AM

Royal London Asset Management’s chief investment officer Piers Hillier has completed his move to Jupiter Asset Management.

Royal London Asset Management reports holding £181 billion in assets under management (AUM) By contrast, Jupiter Asset Management holds a reported £50.4 billion. Mike Poole is head of trading at the firm.

Earlier this year, Jupiter began a partnership with BNY for back- and middle-office operations.

Based in London, Hillier is responsible for overall investment capabilities at Jupiter and refining the group’s investment processes.

Jupiter’s head of equities Kiran Nandra and head of fixed income Matthew Morgan will leave the firm following a handover period, the company stated in September.

Hillier is replaced by Will Nicoll at Royal London. Nicoll has been with the firm since 2023.

Hillier has more than 30 years of industry experience, holding senior roles including head of international equities at Kames Capital, chief investment officer at LV= Asset Management, and chief investment officer for European equities at WestLB Mellon Asset Management.
