Vinesh Chhaya has joined Investec as an electronic equities sales trader in London as the company seeks to expand its execution services offering.
Investec launched its electronic execution platform ZebrA-X last year. The platform includes benchmark and liquidity-seeking algorithms and supports the internalisation of institutional and retail order flow, the firm states, and is designed to facilitate block trades with limited signaling.
Dominic Lowres, head of electronic trading and execution strategy at the firm, commented, “Demand for our electronic execution solutions continues to accelerate, and Vinesh joins at an important stage in our growth. His contribution will be valuable as we continue to expand our capabilities and meet rising client demand.”

Earlier in his career he was an electronic sales trader at Numis Securities and Haitong, an equity sales trader at Canaccord Genuity, and a sales trader at Liquidnet.
