Dennis Shikar has joined CIBC US as US head of equities distribution. He is based in New York.
CIBC reported CAD $3.1 billion in net income over the quarter ended 31 January 2026. The US commercial banking and wealth management segment generated CAD $294 million, while the capital markets division contributed CAD $877 million.
Earlier this year, John Pryde was named head of US electronic trading at CIBC Capital Markets.

Shikar joins after more than 20 years with Natixis CIB Americas, where he was most recently Americas head of global markets sales and structuring. Prior to this, he was Americas head of equities at the firm.
