Yusuf Nurbhai has returned to State Street following the bank’s acquisition of transactions cost analysis provider BestX.
Based in London, Nurbhai is now head of markets UK and a senior managing director.
Commenting on his appointment via LinkedIN, Nurbhai said, “This next role is about scale, responsibility, and impact. I’m looking forward to partnering across the UK markets business to strengthen performance, culture, and long-term growth.”
State Street acquired BestX in 2018, with the company becoming a part of its Global Link electronic trading product suite. The division is led by Martine Bond, executive vice president and head of trading and clearing for State Street Global Markets.
Nurbhai joined State Street in 2007 as a macro strategy research associate, and spent more than a decade at the firm in senior roles including chief administrative officer of global markets and chief operating officer.
He left the company in 2021, moving to BestX as chief operating officer and product delivery. He became head of the business in 2023.
