GlobalTrading, a Markets Media Group publication, is pleased to announce that its fifth annual Women in Finance Asia Awards will be take place on Thursday, May 18. The luncheon event will be held at the Raffles Hotel, a Singapore icon and one of world’s “few remaining great 19th century hotels.”
Nominations for the 2023 WIFAA program will be open through March 15.
The inaugural WIFAA program, held at Four Seasons Hong Kong in 2019, was a great success with 150 top executives and 14 winners representing many of the top traders, technologists and senior capital markets executives in Asia.
The event pivoted to a virtual format in 2020-2022 and expanded to more than 20 awards with winners from BlackRock, Credit Suisse, HSBC Asset Management and other large, influential global financial firms. The three virtual programs were successful and well-received by winners, supporters, and sponsoring firms alike.
Last year’s WIFAA winners included some of the most dynamic and accomplished professional women who have made their names in the financial centers of Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney.
Winners included Cindy Lai of JP Morgan Asset Management for Excellence in Asset Management; Mariko Ishikawa of Credit Suisse for Trailblazer; Laura Atherley of Citi for Excellence in Leadership; and Rachel Lord of BlackRock for Lifetime Achievement.
