Eaton changes roles at HSBC

Luke Eaton has relocated to New York in a corporate and investment banking (CIB) electronic equity trading role at HSBC.

HSBC’s CIB division generated US$27.6 billion in revenues over 2024, up 3% year-on-year.

Last month, HSBC’s Liza Tytarenko left her trading role at the bank.

Eaton has been with the bank since 2018, initially as a global markets equity electronic chief operating officer before becoming chief operating officer for CIB equities last January.

His more than 15-year career also includes two years covering equities and fixed income at BlueCrest Capital Management and four years at Morgan Stanley, where he covered equity trading, cash equities, swaps and prime finance in an associate and senior associate role.
