Ygal El Harrar has been promoted to global head of tech within BNP Paribas’ equity capital markets division.
He is based in London.
Within its global markets division, BNP Paribas reported €4 billion in equity and price services revenues for Q4 2025. This marked a 10.2% increase year-on-year.
Earlier this year, the firm’s global markets vice president departed for State Street.

El Harrar has been head of venture capital coverage at the bank since 2024, before which he was part of the private capital markets business. His 25-year career also includes 19 years at Exane, where he was head of strategic access on the cash equity sales team.
